Show Announcement: 9/25 at Great Scott w lespecial!

AYOOOO we're keeping a lighter schedule this fall as we prepare to enter the studio, but we're psyched to announce our debut at Allston's Great Scott on 9/25! This venue is a local institution right around the corner from our practice spot and it seems kind of crazy we've never hit there before. Even better, it's our first chance to throw down with lespecial - these guys have been all over the East Coast for a few years for good reason, they put on a great show. See you there.

DST photos, Great Set w/ Tauk Last Night

So we made it down to Norwich, CT last night for an opening set along with NYC's fast-rising TAUK. They are good dudes and great players, keep an eye out. We'd like to thank Strange Brew and everyone who made it out last night, it was a fun set at a very well-run venue. We'll be back soon, no doubt.

Also wanted to pass along some shots of our performance at the Davis Square Theatre with Bent Knee last month. These are retouched stills taken from the video we shot of our "Prance" (Dillinger Escape Plan) cover. We're starting the long process of editing this footage this month so keep an eye out for that as well. The energy and intensity in the room is palpable in the video and I think it comes through in some of these photos. You can see the rest of the album here.

ROXY/ELSEWHERE COVER VIDEO SERIES STARTS NOW!

Village of the Sun, the first part of our 3 part tribute to Frank Zappa and his masterwork Roxy & Elsewhere is now live on YouTube! This is our most recent collaboration with videographer Frank Hegyi. In the coming weeks we'll be releasing our versions of Echidna's Arf (of You) and Don't You Ever Wash That Thing? We have been polishing this 16+ minute suite live since the fall and after an intense day of recording and 3 months of editing we're unleashing it on the world. More to come FZ fans....

SUMMER 2013

ALLLLLRIGHT folks after a long and crazy month of shows at Precinct we are gearing up for a great run of dates this summer! For those of you who missed THE PRECINCT SESSIONS, we will have some live video and audio in the not-too-distant future.... We'd like to thank Precinct for hosting us and all the bands and fans who showed up, hope you had as much fun as we did!

No time to waste though, because we've got lots more shows to get to this summer. This Saturday we'll be making our second trip to Brooklyn to play Trash Bar as part of the Northside Festival (10pm on 6/15). Make sure you show up early and catch our friends The Karma Exchange at 9. We are beyond excited to announce our FESTIVAL DEBUT at Camp Coldbrook on 6/21, we'll be starting the fest off right with a 1pm set on the main stage! Tickets are still available, so email or call today to pick them up! Other dates this summer will take us to Providence, Cleveland, Beverly, NYC, and Martha's Vineyard, so check our CALENDAR for updates and get weird this summer.

GET TO PRECINCT TONIGHT

Our big ol' clusterfuck of a 9 piece band has been working towards tonight's show since January when we first started reading down my arrangement of The Dillinger Escape Plan's Baby's First Coffin. Can't wait to show our fans the results. If ever a band earned your sacrifices (the ten bucks, the lack of sleep, the hangover you're gonna nurse at work tomorrow), it's this band, this stage, tonight at 11 PM at Precinct. It will go down as one of the proudest days of our young careers, and we want you to be there for it. For those that talk a big game about supporting local, independent music, for those that bitch and moan that no one bothers to learn their instruments anymore, we got somethin' for ya. It ain't about the money for this group. Tonight, it's about playing art music at the highest level. BE THERE.

Free Download of our 1/25 Show

Navigate over to the brand new Free Live Sets link under the Music tab for a FREE DOWNLOAD of our full set from 1/25/13 at the Middle East Upstairs. The set features not one but TWO SC tunes that haven't yet been recorded. We also update an old standby with a timely cover, and you really don't want to miss the extended solo section from Huffin' in the Nude, feauturing vocal cameos from Adam Burke, Bryan Murphy, and some other friends.

Thanks to Charles Gargano for doing the recording. Also thanks to original SC drummer Devin Collins who covererd for Tiago that night. It might have been our best show yet, don't miss out!
